This unusual plant is rare but a delightful houseplant because of its highly lobed leaves, shaped like a hand, and curly leaf edges. Anthurium polyschistum  or the Fake Hemp Plant is an great addition to any plant collection, especially amongst other green plants, creating a jungle look. It is a slow-growing climbing plant which can reach 2-4 ft with support.

  • Origin🎯: Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuado
  • Size🪴: pot 12cm, 45cm high
  • Toxicity🐾: Not safe for pets to eat

Plant Care Guide

  • Light🌞: bright light but not directly in a sunny window, just back from S or W windows or close to E or N. may get a bit burnt if sun too strong
  • Water💧: As soon as the top half of the soil is dry - about every 2 weeks. keep an eye out not to let it dry out for too long. Mist once a week to keep clean and help with humidity.
  • Temperature🌡️: Avoid draughts and very cold spaces. normal house temperatures will be fine. not close to radiators
  • Feeding🌱: Feed with seaweed spray every 2 weeks in spring and summer.
  • Grooming🫶: Older leaves will go brown cut them off if you want. Use chunky soil when repotting like the Aroid/Monstera mix. climbing plant so comes on small moss pole. will climb as gets older. can be trimmed back
