 In addition, cleaning with a tongue scraper prevents bad breath and inflammation in the throat area. The tongue scraper is made of 100% copper. Because of their antibacterial and antimicrobial effects, copper tongue scrapers are much more hygienic than plastic tongue cleaners. Copper does not rust, however, discolouration or a patina may occur on the tongue scraper. These can be removed with vinegar and salt. This does not affect the effectiveness of the tongue cleaner.
