Episcia are unusual and uncommon houseplants with textured soft leaves and beautiful varying colouration and patterns - making them ideal as a collectible to fill your home. They have a creeping nature so make good candidates for hanging baskets.

They love good humidity - in a terrarium is perfect - just make sure to keep them away from radiators, fires and draughty spaces.

Part of the Gesneriaceae family, which also includes African violets, Episcia also have the furry leaves. The genus name, Episcia, is derived from a Greek word meaning "shaded," reflecting their natural habitat as ground covers in humid, shady tropical conditions.

Plant Care Guide

Light🌞: Need bright indirect light and warmth, also helps them to flower!
Water💧: Only water when top of soil is dry about every 1 and half - 2 weeks. No misting as may get leaf fungus, but ideally place in an already humid room, beside other plants , in a terrarium or next to a diffuser
Temperature🌡️: Prefers warm environments above 15C without cold drafts
Feeding🌱: Feed in Spring and Summer once per month.
Grooming🫶: needs very good drainage. remove yellow leaves, use good drainage soil with perlite bark
