The Melocactus family are so beautiful, especially the Turks or Bishops cap with their iconic top cap called a cephalium. This bizzare bristly cap is a joy to look at and is also where the flowers and fruits form! 

It has pink flowers and as you can see from the image pink fruits as well

The main stem is blue green with pale spines

  • Light🌞: in a sunny window

  • Feeding🌱: once per month into soil spring and summer
  • Grooming🫶: no regular repotting needed, change soil with cacti succulent mix every 5 years or if the plant has gotten too big for the pot
